PROGRAMME OFFICER

Job Description

The Programme Officer will serve as the focal point for implementing Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust’s one-to-one programme Project for orphaned children & other across Pakistan. The officer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of the Project initiative in coordination with AMWT UK and field offices in Pakistan.

The role requires ensuring the timely disbursement of sponsorship funds, maintaining an accurate and updated database of sponsored children or beneficiaries, collecting beneficiary updates for donors, and implementing safeguarding protocols. The person must exhibit integrity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of child welfare and donor accountability.

3. Key Job Responsibilities & Duties

You will serve as a key implementer for AMWT's diverse programme projects. Your core duties will include, but are not limited to:

Programme Implementation & Coordination

• Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of assigned projects in accordance with donor requirements and organizational objectives.
• Act as a liaison between field offices, Head Office, and international partners (including AMWT UK) to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Facilitate the timely and accurate flow of project information, reports, and updates.

Project Management & Delivery

• Coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure timely disbursement of project funds and maintain proper financial documentation.
• Track project deliverables, timelines, and budgets, flagging any deviations or risks for prompt action.
• Manage project documentation, including agreements, reports, and beneficiary data.

Beneficiary & Stakeholder Engagement

• Conduct field visits to verify project activities, collect beneficiary data, and monitor progress against targets.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with community stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries.
• Ensure the accurate collection and updating of beneficiary profiles and project impact data.

Compliance & Safeguarding

• Ensure all project activities adhere to organizational policies, donor guidelines, and relevant safeguarding frameworks.
• Identify and report any project-related risks or compliance issues through official channels.
• Uphold the highest level of confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive information.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

• Conduct regular field monitoring to assess project implementation quality, beneficiary feedback, and on-ground challenges.
• Support the compilation of accurate and timely donor reports, progress updates, and impact assessments.
• Contribute to the development of case studies, success stories, and other communication materials for donors and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, Development Studies, Education, Islamic Studies, or related fields.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in the development programmes.
• Strong familiarity with child safeguarding or protection principles, donor-funded projects, and reporting protocols.
• Experience working with international partners or UK-based charities will be considered an asset. 

Other Requirements

• Willingness to travel to field sites and orphan households when needed.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, digital folders, Google Drive, and WhatsApp for business communication.
